Gematria is the practice of assigning a numerical value to a name, word or phrase according to an alphanumerical cipher. A single word can yield several values depending on the cipher which is used.
This is how you count “the number of the beast” which is 666 to “the number of his name.”
How do you get a number to a name? Simple, gematria.
John 1:1 KJV – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
This post will show you that there is an organic side to the use of gematria of simply taking letters to numbers with the word of God, because God created both letters and numbers, and did you notice there is an entire book called Numbers?
