The Best Daily Bible Reading Plan

Did you know God gives a commandment on how to read your bible so that you have the best daily bible reading plan? That commandment is found in the book where you start being justified, Romans, in the 16th chapter.

Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Romans 16:25-27 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

Most people that read their King James Bibles have NO CLUE what “the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith…” is. That is because most are NOT justified because they believe another gospel, which is not another.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Corinthians 2:14 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

A natural man that is unjust and does not believe the correct gospel message for this dispensation of God’s grace will NOT understand what the commandment is spoken of in Romans 16.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Hebrews 11:3 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

It is THROUGH FAITH that we understand doctrine meant for believers. If you believe anything outside of Romans 3:24-26 for your justification in a King James Bible, you are not believing correctly and all the doctrines for believers after Romans 3 will not be understood, including “the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith…” found in Romans 16:25-27.

So let’s assume you are truly being justified according to the doctrine found in Romans 3:24-26…

What is the commandment of the everlasting God spoken of in Romans 16 and how is it a daily bible reading plan?

The commandment is telling you how God has the power to establish you in the faith, being rooted and grounded in love. A tree with deep roots that is not tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive. God will stablish you according to the gospel of Paul (which is the book of Romans), and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest, that would be after the book of Romans to the book of Revelation. To finish it off, we have the scriptures of the prophets, which is Genesis to Acts.

Let’s expound the scriptures:

  • “…according to my gospel…”
    • Being this verse is found in the book of Romans, this is Paul the apostle saying this and therefore stating that his gospel IS the book of Romans.
  • “…and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But now is made manifest…”
    • The preaching of Jesus Christ did not end upon him leaving this earth in the book of Acts. It continued THROUGH believers like Paul. Paul is also letting us know here that the revealing of the mystery now is made manifest through Paul. Let’s review verses showing how Jesus Christ preached through Paul.
      • Ephesians 4:21 “If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:” Jesus never physically went to Ephesus on his earthly ministry.
      • Philippians 1:21 “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” If you saw and heard Paul while he was alive preaching, you heard the Lord Jesus Christ in Paul.
      • 1 Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” That is the mystery Paul revealed, godliness, God manifest in the flesh.
  • “…and by the scriptures of the prophets…”
    • Paul came to fulfil (complete) the word of God (Colossians 1:25) but the majority of the completed bible is of the scriptures of the prophets. From Moses to the end of the book of Acts, those are prophets that say “Thus saith the LORD.”

Let’s review how the commandment in Romans 16 can be seen as 2 daily bookmarks in your King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition):

  • Bookmark 1
in Romans to Revelation covers this initial portion of scripture: “…according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery…”
  • Bookmark 2
in Genesis to Acts covers this ending portion of scripture: “…and by the scriptures of the prophets…”

You can read a portion of your daily bible reading plan in bookmark 1 and then finish your daily bible reading with bookmark 2.

Here’s an example daily bible reading plan according to the commandment:

Sunday’s reading schedule:

  • Bookmark 1 for 30 minutes: Romans 1 to Romans 6
  • Bookmark 2 for 30 minutes: Genesis 1 to Genesis 6

Monday’s reading schedule:

  • Bookmark 1 for 30 minutes: Romans 7 to Romans 10
  • Bookmark 2 for 30 minutes: Genesis 7 to Genesis 11

Tuesday’s reading schedule:

  • Bookmark 1 for 30 minutes: Romans 11 to Romans 15
  • Bookmark 2 for 30 minutes: Genesis 12 to Genesis 17

I also added a 1 hour total of reading for your daily bible reading plan because of the following scripture:

But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:4 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

If you are living by bread daily for your flesh which consists of a normal diet of breakfast, lunch, and dinner that normally takes 1 hour at least per day, you should also be reading your King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition) 1 hour a day for your spiritual well being.

In conclusion…

Once your bookmark 1 reaches the end of the book of Revelation you loop back to the book of Romans. Same thing for bookmark 2. Once you finish the book of Acts, you loop back to the book of Genesis. It is also not a matter of how fast or slow you read either. The real important thing you need is faith, that is how you will understand what you are reading.

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 1:18 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

If you have faith while reading according to the commandment found in Romans 16, God will give the enlightenment and you will know it comes from God because it will be as if you are in a dark room and someone flips the lights on.

If you read your bible daily according to this plan (truly a COMMANDMENT, and if not done its sin) God will begin to manifest the Lord Jesus Christ in your flesh (the mystery of godliness) and it will prove to man, Satan, and all his angels that ending verse in Romans 16…

To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen.

Romans 16:27 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

Truly, God is only wise and between Satan and Him it has always been a battle of WISDOM.

He taketh the wise in their own craftiness…

Job 5:13 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1 Corinthians 2:7-8 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

If Satan knew the “mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world” he would have never crucified the Lord of glory. Now, as God manifests his ONLY begotten and beloved Son (the Lord Jesus Christ) on this earth through YOU because YOU read his book as he commanded, YOU remind Satan and his angels how he was tricked at Calvary, all for the “obedience of faith.”

Just prepare to suffer for it. Satan is not happy about you knowing this mystery which tricked him and very few even know exists because many are truly the many of Matthew chapter 7 (deceived and lost).

Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Hebrews 5:8 King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition)

You will suffer when you obey sound bible doctrine. But it all begins with you being justified, seeing the word of God as all authority and THEN reading the King James Bible (Pure Cambridge Edition) the way He commands you in Romans 16:25-27.

This is indeed the best daily bible reading plan!
