Pfizer and the Vatican.
Sources say Pope Francis met privately twice last year with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.
The National Catholic Register has learned that Pope Francis privately held undisclosed meetings with the CEO of Pfizer last year as questions arise over the efficacy of the vaccines in preventing transmission, which are now being mandated for all Vatican staff and visitors.
According to Vatican sources, the Jesuit Pope twice met Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla at the Vatican, although the precise details are not known.
Unlike most papal private audiences, these meetings were not announced by the Holy See Press Office, which did not respond to repeated requests to confirm the meetings.
A Pfizer spokesman said, “We can’t confirm or deny as, per our policy, the movements of our executives are considered confidential.”
Bourla’s meetings with the Pope would not be the first such unannounced papal encounter in recent years. In November 2019, shortly before the COVID-19 health emergency began, the Pope privately received Melinda Gates. The meeting, well known in the Vatican, was not announced and has never been officially acknowledged.
Last May, Bourla took part in an online Vatican health conference titled “Unite to Prevent & Unite to Cure” that included a significant focus on COVID-19 treatments and prevention as well as providing a platform for promoting vaccines produced by large pharmaceutical companies.
Other speakers at the meeting co-hosted by the Pontifical Council for Culture included Jesuit educated Stephane Bancel, the CEO of Moderna, another large anti-COVID-19 vaccine producer, and Jesuit educated Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden’s chief medical officer, and Dr. Francis Collins, then director of the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
Vatican City State was one of the first authorities to administer vaccines after it signed a contract with Pfizer in late 2020 to exclusively offer its Pfizer-BioNTech pharmaceutical product to its staff. The first inoculations were rolled out in early 2021.
A strong proponent of the vaccine in light of what it believes is a “continuation and worsening of the current health emergency,” the Vatican has been mandating the Pfizer injection for all staff and visitors since Dec. 23.
From Jan. 31, triple vaccination (two doses plus the booster) will be required to enter Vatican territory. (Proof of recent recovery from COVID-19 can also gain admittance, and there are no requirements for public liturgies and general audiences.)

Israeli trial, world’s first, finds 4th dose ‘not good enough’ against Omicron.
Nearly a month after Sheba Medical Center launched a landmark study to test the efficacy of a fourth COVID shot, the hospital said Monday that this fourth booster was only partially effective in protecting against the Omicron strain.
“The vaccine, which was very effective against the previous strains, is less effective against the Omicron strain,” Prof. Gili Regev-Yochay, a lead researcher in the experiment said.
Regev-Yochay added that it is still probably a good idea to give a fourth shot to those at higher risk, but intimated that perhaps the current campaign, which also offers the jab to the over-60s, should be amended to only include even older groups. She did not elaborate.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has pushed ahead with expanding Israel’s fourth dose program, despite the lack of data.
Israel is pinning hopes that the extra booster may help keep the Omicron variant from overwhelming hospitals and shutting down normal life.
The study, the first of its kind in the world, is being carried out in conjunction with the Health Ministry, and has been approved by the government’s senior panel on human medical trials.
Around two-thirds of Israel’s population of nearly 9.5 million have received at least one dose of the vaccine, and nearly 4.4 million Israelis have received three doses, according to the latest Health Ministry figures.

Bank of Israel Progresses with the E-shekel.
Such has been the adoption of cryptocurrencies around the world that central banks have had little choice but to explore and develop their own. Digital currencies created by central banks for legal tender are more commonly referred to as Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs).
In stark contrast to cryptocurrencies and Satoshi’s vision, CBDCs are digital tokens of an official currency. Similar to fiat, central banks and monetary authorities of countries issue and regulate CBDCs.
Israel’s central bank is currently in the research phase of launching an Ethereum (ETH) based e-shekel. The Bank of Israel released a report back in May 2021 on the potential issuance of a digital shekel. According to the report, “the Bank of Israel has decided to accelerate its learning, research, and preparation leading to the potential issuance of a Bank of Israel digital currency in the future”.
Similar to the UK and the U.S., the Bank of Israel also reportedly noted challenges. These include impact on the Shekel and the banking system and cost. Security and privacy may be other concerns as have been highlighted by the UK and U.S governments.
As crypto adoption continues to rise, central banks will likely be more eager to progress towards digital currencies. There may be a more pressing need in countries where crypto adoption is high.
Remember, the mark of the beast will be a combination of digital ID, digital currency, biotechnology and possibly vaccination, that is why we are seeing the trend towards a digital global currency.

Jerusalem in the end will become a cup of trembling to the region but also the world and we are seeing more commotions that have to do with the temple mount and the Al-Aqsa mosque now.
Radical Israelis raided occupied East Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque complex en masse on Sunday, the Islamic Waqf Department said.
The Israelis encroached on Islam’s third-most-sacred site with Israeli security looking after their safety, Anadolu Agency reported.
They came in via Al-Mugharbah Gate, the Jordanian-administered religious endowment organisation said.
Starting in 2003, Tel Aviv began permitting its citizens to encroach on the Al-Aqsa complex on a near-daily basis.
The mosque is known as the Temple Mount in Judaism, and is the faith’s holiest place.
The complex was raided by over 34,500 Israelis last year, Palestine’s Waqf ministry said.
Though Israel annexed both East and West Jerusalem over 40 years ago, this claim to sovereignty in the holy city has been widely rejected by almost the entire international community.
The United Nations considers East Jerusalem occupied Palestinian land.
